Evia Ballard has always been the creative type. When she said goodbye to teaching, she needed a new outlet to express herself. The result was Mixed-Up Creations, the business name stemming from her skills in mixed-media art.
Shortly after opening, Evia took an online silversmith class and immediately fell in love with the practice. Seeking to learn more techniques, she started watching YouTube videos and taking in-person classes with some of the best national instructors. Within the last two years, her own distinct style emerged, thus EB Creations was born. Her favorite part of being a silversmith is taking a blank sheet of sterling silver and forging it into a one-of-a-kind piece.
All EB Creation pieces are made with quality materials such as sterling silver, gold, and unique gemstone cabochons. Common themes found in Evia’s jewelry is the appearance of mixed metals — a nod to her starting point in the art world — colors and textures. The EB Creation Keum Boo line features a touch of 24K gold fused to sterling silver and fine silver.
Evia’s inspiration comes from her love of nature and the time she spends with her husband in their Pagosa Springs home. Type your paragraph here.
