Norma was born and raised in Central Texas. She has spent most of her life in the Marble Falls area. Living on a ranch in the Texas Hill Country made her appreciate the beauty and serenity of everything the Hill Country offers.
She has always expressed her artistic talents throughout her entire life, which include sewing, quilting and other crafts. Norma began her painting career taking pastel art lessons from Margaret Fletcher. In 2009, she decided to switch to oils and began studying with well-known Texas Hill Country landscape artist, Peggy Cain. She has also taken lessons from Kay Walton, a professional landscape artist from Abilene, Texas.
Norma says that painting the beauty of the Texas Hill Country gives her great satisfaction because she is doing something she loves and hopes it will provide enjoyment to the people who buy her paintings for many years to come.
