HIGHLAND ARTS GUILD AND GALLERY
Member Gallery
I was raised in several northern states, but I eventually moved to Texas. Now I reside in Marble Falls. I attended the University of Texas at Austin and Texas Tech University where I obtained my teaching credentials. In order to support my family, I worked for many years as an art teacher in the public schools. I also worked as a paste-up and layout artist for a trade magazine and a designer at a t-shirt company. Currently, I am working at an art gallery, which gives me lots of time to create my own art.
My philosophy of life is that if more people created things, there would be less destructive activity in the world and fewer headaches. Doing something you love is a source of joy, and I recieved artistic inspiration from Chagall and Kandinsky. Painting and drawing are passions for me.
My work is on exhibit at Texetcetera in Johnson City, Highland Arts Gallery and Numinous Coffee in Marble Falls as well as the Herb Farm Restaurant in Fredericksburg. I am also a member of the Bunkhouse Gang in Round Mountain and have participated in the Burnet County Art Festival.
