My love of art began my junior year of high school in Houston. My mother wanted me to take art for my extracurricular requirements, so I did it....and the teacher took me by surprise. Mary Rogers helped me to express myself through art and inspired me to pursue art in college. Two of my professors at San Jacinto College in Pasadena, Mr. Sweet and Mr. Plumb, helped expand my knowledge of art, and they challenged me to step outside my comfort zone. I learned most of my skill from these two men. I finished my Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts at the University of Texas at Austin.

I have been painting for over 30 years. I love to paint animals, people and objects up close and personal. It helps me to connect with my art. I paint in oil, but have painted in acrylic, watercolor, pastel and mixed media. I have paintings all over the U.S. I have done commissions, business, academic and non-profits.

All of my paintings have Bible verses in the title. The meaning behind every canvas can be found in those verses. God's word is the inspiration behind every canvas.

I live in Granite Shoals with my wonderful husband, Jamie, and my mischievous dog, Dobby. I have two grown and beautiful daughters, Chelsea and Phoebe. I am thankful to have a supportive family that brings so much joy to my life.
