Betty Blackmond majored in art at UTEP and taught in the El Paso and Fort Stockton, TX school systems. She also worked as a graphic artist for the Bureau of Business Research at UT Austin and City Planning in El Paso, TX.
After many years as a graphic artist and city planner, she and her husband left city life behind and pursued ranch life in Colorado for eight years before they moved to Llano, TX in 2004. Betty is currently exhibiting oil paintings at the Highland Arts Gallery in Marble Falls, TX.
