Judi began to paint at mid-life, although she had the desire to make art long before that. She paints in oil and enjoys going outside to capture the light of the landscape. She travels as often as she can to explore the beauty of the Texas Hill Country and the American landscape. She was born and reared in Austin, graduated from Austin High School and the University of Texas at Austin, but now she calls the Joppa community in Burnet County home.
The Highland Lakes area is a wonderful place for an artist, and Judi finds loads of beauty and inspiration here. Her preferred medium is oils, although she dabbles in watercolor and gouache. You can find her painting plein air with the Hill Country Outdoor Painters, or socializing and planning adventures with other artists from the Highland Arts Guild & Gallery.
